Challenge
The owner wanted to reimagine an existing space into a neighborhood bar that balanced modern design with a familiar, local feel. The goal was to create a cohesive brand and environment that felt elevated yet approachable—authentic to its community but distinct within the competitive hospitality landscape.
Solution
As Creative Director, I led the full creative process from concept development through launch. I directed brand design, interior storytelling, and marketing strategy, ensuring all visual and experiential elements came together as a unified narrative. The design aesthetic used layered textures, reclaimed materials, and ambient lighting to evoke warmth and conversation, while the brand identity extended seamlessly across signage, menus, photography, and digital presence.
I collaborated closely with the owners, builders, and creative partners to translate the concept into tangible design decisions—managing timelines, vendor communications, and production for an efficient build and launch.

Marketing Leadership: Designed and implemented campaign strategy integrating organic social, paid placements, and cross‑promotion with sister brand Brickyard Coffee.

The Brickyard Bar launched to a strong community response and quickly became a cornerstone of the neighborhood’s social scene. Its cohesive design and storytelling elevated the Brickyard brand portfolio, inspiring expanded local partnerships and event programming. The project demonstrated how thoughtful creative direction and structured project management can transform physical spaces into lasting brand experiences.
