Brickyard Coffee

A neighborhood coffee concept brought to life through intentional design, storytelling, and a cohesive brand that blends warmth, texture, and community.

Challenge

Brickyard Coffee—a new concept from The Brickyard Businesses—needed a full brand identity and environment that reflected the spirit of its neighborhood and connected two distinct ventures under one cohesive vision. The goal was to create a warm, textural brand experience that felt authentic to its community while standing out in a crowded café market. In addition to naming, visual identity, and creative direction, the project required cross‑functional management of design, buildout, and marketing efforts leading up to launch.

Solution

As Creative Director, I guided the brand’s development from concept to launch. I led a multidisciplinary team of designers, photographers, and marketing partners to translate the brand story into tangible experiences—spanning interior design, environmental graphics, packaging, and digital presence.

We built a visual language grounded in natural light, raw materials, and a calm, modern palette. I established creative systems for photography, social content, and marketing collateral, ensuring every element—from menu design to signage—reinforced the same sense of ease and refinement. Throughout the process, I managed budgets, vendor relationships, timelines, and creative approvals to maintain quality and alignment across all touchpoints.

  • Project Management:  Coordinated cross‑functional teams of designers, builders, and content creators; managed budgets, production schedules, and vendor relationships to ensure timely, on‑brand delivery.

  • Marketing Strategy:  Directed go‑to‑market creative, launch campaigns, and ongoing content for digital, social, print, and radio platforms, maintaining a consistent voice and measurable engagement growth.

  • Content Development:  Oversaw all photography, videography, and copywriting to establish a signature visual language that carries across Brickyard Coffee and its sister brands.

Impact

The new brand launched successfully with a strong visual and experiential identity that instantly resonated with the neighborhood. Foot traffic in the first quarter exceeded projections, and community engagement — both in‑store and online — continues to grow organically. Brickyard Coffee has since become a cornerstone of The Brickyard Businesses’ brand portfolio, proving the power of cohesive storytelling and design‑led strategy in driving both culture and performance.
